Simple Sloppy Joes

I feel like Sloppy Joes are just something I’ve only eaten as a kid and now 20 years later the thought of Sloppy Joes out of a can sounds..just gross🤢

So what’s a girl to do? Make her own, but you know…with ground turkey and none of the artificial stuff💁🏽‍♀️ this recipe tastes like the REAL DEAL ✔️ it will not disappoint I promise.

You’d think it’s like a super secret recipe, cus hardly anyone makes Sloppy Joes anymore but this is SUPER SIMPLE=most ingredients already in the pantry🙌🏼 (double high-five)! I’ve even got some cool twists in my recipe which are all optional like an onion bun, cheddar cheese🧀 and hot sauce 😋😎 so here goes:

First, you’ll round up all your ingredients Then chop your veggies The cooking process starts with browning your meat in some vegetable oil and butter, then set aside.

Then add a little more oils and sautéed your veggies a few minutes, until softened. Then add all seasonings. Combine and deglaze with a 1/4 cups of beef stock, and 1/4 cup of water. Add beef back in and cover and simmer on low for 5-10 minutes until thickened. One of my twists is a onion bun 🙃 toast it or not 🤷🏽‍♀️ And there ya have it.. it’s definitely Sloppy so make sure to have paper towels or napkins and I served mine with MEGA FRIES 🍟🧀🌶( crinkle fries, cheddar cheese, picked jalapeños… YUM 😋)

Hope y’all enjoy

Xoxo
